DEG is widely used in the industrial world and can be used for many purposes. Below you can find some of the industries using DEG. However, DEG is used in many other industries and manufacturing processes.

The largest share of DEG is used to produce plastics.

Furthermore, DEG is used as a lubricant; in glass grinding, fiber-finishing, cement grinding, and mold release.

DEG is also used as an anti-freeze and coolant.

Additionally, it is used as humectant.

Another purpose of DEG is its use as a solvent in dyes and inks.
